Making old things new again

We are highly experienced when it comes to retrofitting existing concrete mixing plants. It is possible to modernize the technology of an existing mixing plant at a reasonable investment. As an added benefit, this modernization can significantly increase the throughput rate of the plant. Installing a mixer with a greater performance, adjusting the weighing system and batcher as well as renewing the control system will make the plant much more competitive.

And thanks to the compact design of the various BHS mixer types, a suitable solution can be implemented even in tight spaces. For example, in most cases, existing pan mixers can be easily replaced with much more powerful BHS twin-shaft batch mixers of type DKX.

Besides planning, designing, and manufacturing the tailor-made plant according to on-site requirements, our experienced team also offers to install or commission the system.

Please feel free to request a quotation from us. We generally accept existing BHS twin-shaft batch mixers in payment, even if they are over 25 years old.

Last year, leading Indonesian real estate developer PT Modernland decided to invest in a state-of-the-art precast production site, to be able to complete its large number of projects in a timely manner and to a high quality standard. The new mixing unit was supplied and installed by renowned mixer manufacturer, BHS-Sonthofen, in collaboration with its local partner, PT Detede.

At present, a Muslim faith community is having the “Mosquée de l’Algérie”, worth approx. 1.1 billion Euros, constructed in the Algerian capital city. The prayer room of the mosque is a huge cube which will accommodate up to 35,000 people. The production of a total of 618 octagonal spun concrete columns used for the monumental building was not a common project even for the manufacturer Europoles from Neumarkt/Germany. For this large project Europoles needed a new twin-shaft batch mixer of the DKX series of BHS-Sonthofen in order to be in the position to produce the required up to 20 m³ of concrete per hour.

More than 600 concrete columns for the world's third Largest mosque

One of the largest mosques ever built with a prayer room covering 22,000 m² and the world's tallest minaret soaring 265 m high is under construction in the Bay of Algiers at present. The load-bearing spun concrete columns were produced by the manufacturer Europoles based in the German city of Neumarkt and shipped by vessel to the Algerian capital city.
