bauma 2013: Gravel Processing with BHS Rotor Centrifugal Crushers

bulk solids handling

At bauma 2013, BHS-Sonthofen will showcase the rotor centrifugal crushers of the RSMX series for processing hard and medium-hard rock to produce aggregate chippings and high-quality aggregates. The “rock-on-rock” principle and the patented rotor with just two centrifugal chambers offer considerable advantages over multi-chamber rotors in everyday practice.

Twin-shaft batch mixers are becoming accepted in precast plants

CPI - Concrete Plant International

At the bauma 2013 BHS-Sonthofen will be exhibiting the mixers from the DKX series, which can be adapted to the needs of the precast industry with an extensive construction kit system. They are equally suitable for mixing fibre-reinforced and dyed concretes as well as self-compacting concretes, HPC and UHPC. They ensure high homogeneity and reproducibility of different recipes with short mixing times.

Recycling of refrigeration units: Cost reduction by 65%

recovery

BHS has developed a complete solution for the economical recycling of refrigeration units, combining mechanical crushing of the units with thermal-catalytic oxidation of the refrigerants and blowing agents. The only end products of the process are the shredded so Iids and carbon dioxide, as weil as a saline solution. The BHS method renders superfluous several steps required by other methods, which cuts the costs of processing considerably.

Mobile mixing plants defying extreme coldness

CPI - Concrete Plant International

With 1,700 employees, OOO Transstrojmechanisazia easily ranks amongst the largest Russian construction companies. It is currently engaged on several large-scale airport projects, where it employs four mobile concrete mixing plants from BHS-Sonthofen’s Monomix and Twinmix model range. All construction sites throughout Russia – from Saint Petersburg to Vladivostok – have one thing in common: with temperatures up to -40° C, their climatic conditions are challenging. Added to this, transport routes are exceptionally long between the individual construction sites.

Rotary pressure filters: Record performance in the drum

cpp | chemical plants & processes

At the end of 2011, BHS-Sonthofen delivered five RPF X 20 rotary pressure filters to a customer in China. The filters are used in the manufacture of intermediate plastic products. In terms of throughput, they are the world’s largest rotary pressure filters. A suspension volume of up to 225 m3 is filtered per filter and hour. This is equivalent to roughly 100 t/h of solids per filter. (more: www.cpp-net.com)
