At this year’s IFAT 2020 in Munich, BHS-Sonthofen will present a new process for recycling lithium batteries and accumulators. In addition to process reliability, the focus is on ensuring the direct usability of the end products. The heart of the process is a shredder from BHS and a vacuum dryer from AVA, which joined the BHS Group in 2018.

Generating fresh value from organic waste

The Association for Waste Management Kempten (Zweckverband für Abfallwirtschaft Kempten – ZAK) has been using a new biomass treatment plant since May 2019. Technology worth about €2.8 million in total now ensures that foreign matter is optimally removed from organic waste and green waste before it can be fermented.

Sonthofen, 07 January 2020. With the new year, BHS-Sonthofen significantly expanded its control technology portfolio: effective 1 January 2020, its newly founded subsidiary BHS Control Systems GmbH & Co. KG acquired Thoma Elektrosteuerungsanlagen GmbH, based in Babenhausen near Memmingen, as part of an asset deal.
