The BHS twin-shaft batch mixer (type DKX) is the industrial benchmark around the world for efficient, reliable production of ready-mixed concrete. After a very short mixing time, the BHS concrete mixer delivers results with consistently high homogeneity batch after batch. Cements and admixtures undergo optimal dissolution. Admixtures are rapidly and evenly distributed throughout the entire mixture. In this way, all high-grade formula ingredients can be used with optimum efficiency. Our batch mixers are suitable for:

  • Mixing plants with hourly output rates of 30 cbm to 300 cbm of compacted concrete per mixer
  • Production of all standard types of concrete and all consistencies
  • Production of special types of concrete with special additives (colors, fibers, light aggregates, heavy aggregates, etc.)
  • Production of high-performance concrete of all kinds (e.g., SCC, UHPC, etc.)

We offer a wide range of options and accessories for the twin-shaft batch mixer so that you can tailor the concrete mixer to your exact needs: skip hoists, discharge hoppers, lubrication systems, cleaning systems, measuring equipment, wear protection, etc.

We offer two types of mixers for implementation in systems for continuous production of concrete. Our twin-shaft continuous mixer (type LFK) for production of lean concrete (such as RCC), or the Combimix system for production of high-grade bulk concrete with controlled and recorded mixing times.

For large-scale construction sites that require large volumes of concrete, we offer a system with containerized high-performance mixing plants. The output of these systems ranges from 120 to 330 cbm of compacted concrete per hour. These plants can be set up or dismantled in 1.5 days. At the same time, they are designed so that compromises do not have to be made during daily operations or during maintenance.

Waskita, one of the largest concrete manufacturers of Southeast Asia, has by now taken delivery of no fewer than 80 twin-shaft batch mixers from the German Anlagenbauer BHS-Sonthofen, through its Indonesian sales partner PT Detede, and re-cently two mixing plants for the Waskita plant Japek, near Jakarta.

Everyone has a general idea what mixing means, but describing the mixing process is not so simple. The objective of any mixing process is to distribute and blend the materials with different characteristics, different quantities as evenly as possible resulting in a homogenous mixture. Introducing proportional movement with the optimal intensity into the materials achieves effective homogeneous mixing results. A simple one-directional movement with inadequate acceleration of the materials would obviously not achieve the same mixing results. This would be more like stirring than mixing.
