Pressure Plate Filter PF Clearing turbidity with lasting effect  
The BHS Pressure Plate Filter is a fully automatic, batch operated pressure filter with filter elements arranged horizontally inside a pressure vessel. It is used primarily as a deep bed or precoat filter for filtering suspensions with low solids content, for adsorptive filtration processes (adsorption through filter cake) or for clarifying filtration. The pressure plate filter is also suitable for poor filtering suspensions.

The filter cake builds up under pressure on top of each plate. The filtrate is discharged to the outside through a hollow shaft. The filter cake can undergo further process steps such as washing, steaming, reslurrying, blow-out or drying. Finally, the filter cake is safely removed from the plates by vibration and discharged to the bottom outlet.

BHS also provides complete pressure plate filter installations including armatures, instrumentation, piping, pumps, collection containers, steel structures and control systems. The plants have a modular design for easy transport and on-site assembly.
