On October 30, 2012, completion of the new headquarters was officially celebrated after a construction time of 17 months. In addition to the District Administrator and the Mayor, representatives of all the companies involved in the construction project were invited, as were people from the immediate neighborhood. The total investment volume was around 6 million euro. The first employees moved into the building back at the end of July and quickly felt at home in their new surroundings. In the meantime, final construction work outside the building has also been completed. BHS-Sonthofen has made this investment in response to the company's steady growth.

Around 100 employees from the Sales, Engineering, Purchasing and Planning departments, as well as company management, now have modern workplaces in almost 3,000 square meters of floor space. The building was completely refurnished with the assistance of experienced consultants. Numerous meeting facilities now enhance teamwork – including with our business partners. There is also a bistro available to employees on the ground floor for use during breaks. Large areas of glass on all sides of the building provide impressive views out over the Allgäu landscape. At the same time, the generous glazing stands for openness and transparency. The old headquarters is being completely renovated over the coming months ready to receive the present occupants of the so-called atrium building which is past its prime. and scheduled for demolition.

Great importance was attached to high energy efficiency and the economical use of resources in the planning and construction of the new headquarters. For example, priority was given to a state-of-the-art combination of thermal insulation, heat recovery and geothermal energy. The renewable energy source is groundwater, which is available in sufficient quantities even at a shallow depth. So far, this energy source has been able to cover 80% of heating requirements and also offers a pleasant cooling effect on hot summer days.
