Optimum recovery of metals

The shredder heavy fraction (SHF) from the shredding process typically contains a large amount of metals, especially non-ferrous metals. With the smaller sieve fraction (< 20 mm), yield can be increased if this fraction is additionally treated in our rotor impact mill (type RPMV). Metals are ball-shaped and cleaned. In addition, mineral components are pulverized and adhesion forces are overcome. Clean metal fractions can be recovered in a subsequent separation process using separator tables.

BHS implemented a complete recycling plant for treating shredder heavy fractions (< 20 mm) for a Dutch customer. The centerpiece of the plant is an RPMV 1513 rotor impact mill.
