BHS IC process sets new standards in technology
In recent years, a key part of our development work has focused on enhancing the technology for recycling refrigeration units. We now deliver peak performance in terms of throughput rates, not to mention operating costs. With our new catalytic technology, we have drastically reduced the complexity of gas purification.
We recommend our large RS 3218 Rotorshredder for recycling refrigeration units. It features a feed opening that can accommodate the most common large appliances. This shredder can handle throughput rates of 150 units per hour. Over 50,000 units can be processed with one set of impellers. This machine ensures clean, selective separation of composite materials and reliable purification of polyurethane foam.
Thanks to the IC process, environmentally hazardous blowing agents do not need to be processed by freeze condensation or activated carbon filtration. Instead, the exhaust air containing blowing agents that is generated during the process, is extracted, catalytically treated and converted into innocuous substances. This innovative new system eliminates the need for costly inerting of the plant, which also significantly reduces the recycling costs per refrigeration unit.
This new technology for processing blowing agents also enables you to operate a combined recycling plant for refrigeration units and WEEE with high throughput rates.
