Mechanical process technology is a branch of engineering technology concerned with the transformation of substance systems through predominantly mechanical forces. It requires an extensive theoretical background along with a wealth of empirical knowledge.
Numerous patents testify to BHS-Sonthofen's know-how, decades of experience and technological leadership. We often collaborate with renowned universities and institutes on research and development projects. We maintain especially close relationships with Freiberg University of Mining and Technology, and Kempten University.
We operate separate technical centers at our Sonthofen premises for each of our areas of specialization. At these centers, we can perform tests on customer materials. We also use the technical centers for our own design projects or process engineering development activities.
